BrittFit Family Fitness
We specialize in teaching prenatal, postnatal and total family fitness especially to individuals who have the desire to start a family or be with their family but don't want to sacrifice their personal well-being or precious family time!
From the foundeR - Why we began :
I am a mother of 2 energetic and lovable boys! I know the struggle is real. Prenatal classes are hard to find, and it's even harder to take "regular" fitness classes and modify nearly every move for your growing belly. Once you begin your family, it seems impossible to fit fitness into your now crowded schedule. Every minute with your littles is a gift, and it's so easy to put your personal needs on hold to meet the needs of your growing family. But I believe you can have both needs met and form lasting friendships with other families in the process!
We began in 2015 out of a need for my family and other families like us. Since then, we've been growing and offering our in-person services to families in Northeast Ohio, and virtual services to people across the country!

Benefits for Parents :
BrittFit classes are for families of all sizes, kids of all ages and adults of all skill levels. Classes are intended to give the adult a complete total body workout that they can achieve with their children so they are not asked to sacrifice time with their family just to achieve their heath and fitness goals. Classes can be taken from pre-pregnancy through the time when the kids are teenagers. A woman's body goes through so many changes once she becomes pregnant, and if she's not prepared or doesn't know what to expect, her workouts will undoubtedly take a backseat making pregnancy, labor and recovery all that more difficult. I like to help women achieve their fitness goals not only during pregnancy, but before and after as well. In addition to physical benefits, it’s also common for people to benefit socially from class! Enjoy conversations with other parents, workout, and enjoy watching your kid(s) make great lasting friendships!
A Northwestern University study found that dads typically gain weight after having kids, too! #dadbod. Anywhere from 3.3 to 4.4lb is common which increases his BMI and can lead to heart disease. A parent's time is precious. That's why it's so important for us to make working out part of our daily routine and something fun that we can enjoy with the whole family!

The benefits for kids in our classes is numerous including:
• Early language development
• Socialization with other kids and other adults
• Body awareness and coordination
• Learning to follow directions/rules
• Early counting and counting backwards
• Watching both their adult(s) and other adults make healthy decisions and learning to mimic those actions
• Learning different types of exercises and understanding that exercise is fun and can be done daily
• And BONDING between adult and child!
